Hello! My name is Miss Erika. I started teaching at Children Central in November, 2015. I was enrolled in Bucks County Community College studying to receive an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. However, I am now happy to be teaching in the Toddler Two class and would like to go back to school and obtain a degree in early childhood education as soon as possible. I have been working with young children since I was 15. I love working with all ages, but especially enjoy the Toddlers. I truly like to help them grow and develop and learn about everything around them.
The reason why I enjoy working with children is because I love how innocent they are, and how determined they can be at such a young age. I enjoy watching them grow and prosper into the young individuals they will become. How wonderful it is to teach the older one year olds and younger two year olds what a structured day full of fun learning activities is all about, as I help to prepare them for their transition to the Twaddler classroom. It is such a great feeling and experience to know that I had a part in their growth. I have babysat many children for family friends and I just love hearing how they are doing, how big they are getting and how much they are learning in school. I enjoy watching the faces of the toddlers and see how much love and light are in their eyes and smiles. Nothing compares to that feeling.
I always enjoy getting to know the families here at Children Central. I am so grateful and excited to be a part of the Children Central family and am honored to be working with such amazing and talented people. I am excited to grow with the school and am thankful for the opportunity!
Hello everyone! My name is Miss Karleigh and I am extremely excited to join the Children Central team as a teacher in the Toddler Two class as of April, 2018! I bring with me a ton of experience educating toddlers who have various needs and goals, so I am confident I will fit right in.
I LOVE teaching the younger two year olds who are in the Toddler Two room, as they are very interested in learning and so curious about the world around them. I am an extremely high energy person who will always greet you with a smile and a hello! I have worked in multiple school environments including Woods Services where I worked with children with special needs. I graduated locally from Pennsbury High School, so I am very familiar with the area, as I grew up here my whole life.
I am looking forward to earning my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential within the next year to further my education and training, since I love to teach and want to be the best I can be.
During my time off I enjoy hiking and backpacking with my puppy Quinn and going new places to explore. I am also a family person. I enjoy spending time with them every chance I get. I am eager to get to know everyone. If you or your child have any specific requests or needs, please be sure to let me know, as I want to be a helpful as possible to both your child and you!
Hello! I am Miss Jenn. I am very excited to be a part of the Children Central family. I joined in March, 2019, as a teacher in the Toddler Two class. I have earned an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Bucks County Community College. I am proud to say that I am now currently working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
I have been teaching children since I was 16. In high school, I enjoyed the unique opportunities to be both a high school helper and also assist in running a nursery school out of Pennsbury. I am forever grateful for those opportunities because that is when I knew I was meant to be a teacher! Before joining Children Central, I have been a teacher in the preschool class, toddlers, before and after care, as well as a summer camp counselor! I bring a lot of experience with me to your child’s class, as I am very excited to teach our class of two year old children.
One of my favorite things about teaching is when I am teaching a child something new and they finally get the concept, and you see the ‘lightbulb go off in their head.’ I am eager to make a difference in the world by teaching little ones new things every day! I love working with children because they represent hope and the future to me.
When I am not teaching or studying at school, I love to travel and go on tons of adventures as much as I can. I used to live in Florida, which is a second home to me. During the spring, I coach a soccer team and also volunteer for a baseball league. I am a very outgoing, hardworking, and energetic person.
Being a teacher is one of the most exhausting, but definitely the most REWARDING job there is, and I would not want to be anything else. If you have any questions, concerns, or special requests, please do not be afraid to ask! I am excited to get to know everyone!
