Hello Toddler Two families! My name is Miss Amanda and I joined the Children Central team in October, 2017. I am happy to say that I already know some of the families, since I was a teacher to many of the children in the Toddler Room. I am very excited to have been promoted to become the Lead Teacher in Toddler Two for your child.
I have earned my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Pre-K to 4 from Bucks County Community College in 2014. I have always known that I love working with children of all ages. When I was younger, I enjoyed babysitting. While earning my degree, I did part of my fieldwork at Goodnoe Elementary School. During my time there, I formed a close connection with the children that made me absolutely certain that teaching children was something I wanted to do in my career.
I have one daughter Emma who is three years old and attends the Preschool class at Children Central. She is my whole life. I would do anything for her and love spending time together. I look forward to meeting the new families, and to getting reacquainted with the families I met while in Toddlers.
Children are my life and I cannot wait until I meet yours!!
I love working with children and discovering the wide variety of personalities in the classroom. I have over four years’ experience as an early childhood educator at various age levels. My true passion is working with toddler aged children because I enjoy watching their excitement and energy as they learn new things daily.
Most recently, I was the Head Teacher in the Toddler Room in a local child care center. My past teaching experience includes Assistant Group Supervisor in a Before and After School-Aged Program; and I was an Assistant Supervisor for 5th and 6th grade campers.
I am currently a student at Bucks County Community College majoring in Business Administration. I enjoy going to school and learning new things. When I am not teaching or being a student, I enjoy traveling, going to the beach, camping, working out at the gym, and spending time with my family and dogs.
I am super excited to get to know all of the parents, children and staff at Children Central!
My name is Miss Jackie. I have been welcomed back to Children Central with open arms as of November, 2019! However, I first joined Children Central in 2014. I started in the Preschool classroom and as a Floater Teacher, filling in wherever I was needed. I then had the wonderful experience to become a Pre-Kindergarten teacher where I was able to help and watch a group of amazing kids grow from Preschoolers into Pre-K graduates!
In 2016, I made a career change and went into management. As I was growing with another company, I was able to focus on my life. I am now married and we have settled close to the school. In May of 2017, another member was welcomed into our family. My baby sister Londyn. She brings so much joy to my life. Londyn already has so much character, is very active, as she amazes me every day. Teaching her, guiding her, and watching her sprout has helped to make me realize that teaching is my passion. So I decided I wanted to return to Children Central to pursue my career in teaching. As one door closed another door opened, and I could not think of a better place to resume my teaching career than with Children Central.
From 2011- 2013, I attended Bucks County Community College where I took several courses. I also enjoyed the opportunity to student teach in several schools. I was able to observe various school districts, learn teaching techniques for a range of age groups, and most importantly saw how children can learn in different ways. I am the oldest of five, so I have been a role model for children my entire life. Teaching my siblings, and watching them grow into wonderful human beings is very heartwarming. That’s really where my love for teaching began.
I love teaching the young two year olds of Toddler Two, because this is the age where children are soaking everything up, they are most curious and eager to learn. Being able to teach, guide, love and care for your children is the most rewarding feeling. I will provide new and different ways for each toddler to develop and encourage each child to love to learn. We will be hands on learning, singing every day, feeling different textures, using our imagination and all of our senses, and so much more! I am a very patient, loving, nurturing and well organized person and I plan on bringing all my love and skills to Toddler Two! I cannot wait to share wonderful moments together!
Personally, I have a love for traveling, which is one of my many hobbies, in addition to enjoying watching movies, working out and spending time with my family.
