Meet Miss Jolie J.
I am known as Miss Jolie and I have been teaching for 27 years. I started at Children Central in 2009, where I work with the young toddlers (ages 12-23 months). My love and passion for children, especially infants and toddlers, has made me into the well rounded teacher that I am today. Children Central has provided me with an environment where I can nurture and continue to grow professionally and provide the love that is essential for the children who are in my care. Working at Children Central gave me the initiative to pursue my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential, which I obtained in February 2011.
In addition to my professional profile, personally, I am a mother of two wonderful children, Derek who is 23 and Megan who is 19, as well as a wife to my husband Dave, to whom I have been married to for 25 years. I love spending time with my family and friends for they are the daily love and support in my life. Moreover, my family and I love to travel. We enjoy quality family time together. Camping and spending a day at the beach is what we enjoy most. Some favorite pastimes of mine are reading, jigsaw puzzles and shopping.
I have gained many positive and fulfilling experiences here at Children Central for it is a family owned business with excellent standards, as well as an experienced staff. The relationships I have built here will last a life time.
Meet Miss Megan J.
My name is Miss Megan. I began my teaching career at Children Central in September, 2016. I started as a teacher in the Toddler Room and then became a Floater/Assistant Teacher to gain more experience in the other classrooms. I am very happy to return to the Toddler Room where I already know the children and most of the families.
I am currently working on furthering my education, as I am currently studying to earn my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential. I love to teach young children. I especially enjoy reading to the class, singing, and getting on the floor and interacting with our one year old children. I will help get your child prepared for our Toddler Two class, which is the next class for when they turn two years of age.
Personally, I love spending quality time with my young cousins. My family and I like to go camping and try out various campgrounds. One day I hope to do more traveling across the United States. I am also a typical girl that likes to go shopping. Some of my favorite pastimes are listening to music and playing video games.
If I do not know you already, I look forward to getting to know all of the Toddler families and to teaching and caring for your child.
Meet Miss Katelin!
Hello! My name is Miss Katelin, or as the children call me ‘Miss Kate.’ I am happy to have joined Children Central as a Toddler Teacher as of September 2021.
I may be new to Children Central, but I have previously been a teacher in the Infant Room and for Older Toddlers. I love working with children of all ages! It makes me happy to see them learn the basic life tools that will help them grow to be independent, confident, and capable individuals, as they ultimately graduate to kindergarten to continue to enrich their learning and knowledge. While working as a teacher these past two years, I have also been earning credits toward my CDA (childhood development associate). The combination of experience and training enables me to provide my students with the best learning experience possible. My goal is to complete the CDA and further my education to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Most importantly, I am so excited to get to know and teach your children!
While teaching at Children Central, I look forward to growing and learning together with your children. I will expand my professional portfolio to continually enrich the curriculum and provide innovative teaching tools and techniques to implement daily. I am looking forward to providing a safe, healthy, and fun classroom where the children can reach their milestones, be creative, problem solve, explore and learn. Families will have the comfort of knowing their children are safe and loved while their children are in my care.
My professional life aside, I am a fun, free spirited and caring friend. I spend a lot of time with my friends crafting, going out to eat and hiking. Every year we like to spend a weekend at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. I am the oldest of two sisters and two brothers along with three stepsisters and three stepbrothers. I work hard to show them that with hard work, confidence and a good support system – anything is possible! In my free time, I enjoy watching movies with my cat Bean, crocheting, and listening to live music. I hope to live a life full of the happiest memories and to keep learning life’s sweetest lessons.
I look forward to meeting all of the Toddler families!
