I am known as Miss Jolie and I have been teaching for 27 years. I started at Children Central in 2009, where I work with the young toddlers (ages 12-23 months). My love and passion for children, especially infants and toddlers, has made me into the well rounded teacher that I am today. Children Central has provided me with an environment where I can nurture and continue to grow professionally and provide the love that is essential for the children who are in my care. Working at Children Central gave me the initiative to pursue my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential, which I obtained in February 2011.
In addition to my professional profile, personally, I am a mother of two wonderful children, Derek who is 23 and Megan who is 19, as well as a wife to my husband Dave, to whom I have been married to for 25 years. I love spending time with my family and friends for they are the daily love and support in my life. Moreover, my family and I love to travel. We enjoy quality family time together. Camping and spending a day at the beach is what we enjoy most. Some favorite pastimes of mine are reading, jigsaw puzzles and shopping.
I have gained many positive and fulfilling experiences here at Children Central for it is a family owned business with excellent standards, as well as an experienced staff. The relationships I have built here will last a life time.
Hello Toddler families! My name is Miss Amanda and I joined the Children Central team in October, 2017. I may have met some of you, since I started out supervising the school age children in the After School program, and then became a full-time teacher in the Preschool and Pre-K classrooms. I am now very excited to have become your child’s teacher in the Toddler Room.
I have earned my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Pre-K to 4 from Bucks County Community College in 2014. I have always known that I love working with children of all ages. When I was younger, I enjoyed babysitting. While earning my degree, I did part of my fieldwork at Goodnoe Elementary School. During my time there, I formed a close connection with the children that made me absolutely certain that teaching children was something I wanted to do in my career.
I have one daughter Emma who is two years old. She is my whole life. I would do anything for her and love spending time together. Children are my life and I cannot wait until I meet yours!!
My name is Miss Megan. I began my teaching career at Children Central in September, 2016. I started as a teacher in the Toddler Room and then became a Floater/Assistant Teacher to gain more experience in the other classrooms. I am very happy to return to the Toddler Room where I already know the children and most of the families.
I am currently working on furthering my education, as I am currently studying to earn my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential. I love to teach young children. I especially enjoy reading to the class, singing, and getting on the floor and interacting with our one year old children. I will help get your child prepared for our Toddler Two class, which is the next class for when they turn two years of age.
Personally, I love spending quality time with my young cousins. My family and I like to go camping and try out various campgrounds. One day I hope to do more traveling across the United States. I am also a typical girl that likes to go shopping. Some of my favorite pastimes are listening to music and playing video games.
If I do not know you already, I look forward to getting to know all of the Toddler families and to teaching and caring for your child.
Hello Toddler Families! My name is Miss Abbey and I recently joined the Children Central family in April 2019. I graduated from the Bucks County Technical High School with a degree in Culinary Arts, however, my love and passion for children have made me want to further my career as a teacher. Children Central has provided me with an environment where I can begin to achieve that goal affording me the opportunity to become a Toddler Teacher in their Keystone STARS 4 rated early learning program. I will be working toward soon earning my CDA (Child Development Associates credential).
I am excited to start this journey in my life and I am very thankful to all of the families for welcoming me. I cannot wait to teach the one-year-old children by singing the ABC's, reading their favorite books, and learning shapes and colors among the many things we will teach each week according to the lesson plan. My goal as a Toddler Teacher is to help prepare your one year old child for Toddler Two, which is the next class for our young two-year-olds.
Apart from my profession with Children Central, I enjoy spending as much quality time as I can with friends and family. I also am a part-time caregiver for the elderly on weekends. I enjoy summer trips to the beach and cold winter days for snowboarding. I am very outgoing and love trying new things. I am very grateful to have support from friends and family to help achieve my goals.
I am glad to become one of the teachers for your toddler. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know the children and to helping them grow and develop each and every day.
