Meet Miss Jolie J.
I am known as Miss Jolie and I have been teaching for 27 years. I started at Children Central in 2009, where I work with the young toddlers (ages 12-23 months). My love and passion for children, especially infants and toddlers, has made me into the well rounded teacher that I am today. Children Central has provided me with an environment where I can nurture and continue to grow professionally and provide the love that is essential for the children who are in my care. Working at Children Central gave me the initiative to pursue my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential, which I obtained in February 2011.
In addition to my professional profile, personally, I am a mother of two wonderful children, Derek who is 23 and Megan who is 19, as well as a wife to my husband Dave, to whom I have been married to for 25 years. I love spending time with my family and friends for they are the daily love and support in my life. Moreover, my family and I love to travel. We enjoy quality family time together. Camping and spending a day at the beach is what we enjoy most. Some favorite pastimes of mine are reading, jigsaw puzzles and shopping.
I have gained many positive and fulfilling experiences here at Children Central for it is a family owned business with excellent standards, as well as an experienced staff. The relationships I have built here will last a life time.
Meet Miss Megan J.
My name is Miss Megan. I began my teaching career at Children Central in September, 2016. I started as a teacher in the Toddler Room and then became a Floater/Assistant Teacher to gain more experience in the other classrooms. I am very happy to return to the Toddler Room where I already know the children and most of the families.
I am currently working on furthering my education, as I am currently studying to earn my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential. I love to teach young children. I especially enjoy reading to the class, singing, and getting on the floor and interacting with our one year old children. I will help get your child prepared for our Toddler Two class, which is the next class for when they turn two years of age.
Personally, I love spending quality time with my young cousins. My family and I like to go camping and try out various campgrounds. One day I hope to do more traveling across the United States. I am also a typical girl that likes to go shopping. Some of my favorite pastimes are listening to music and playing video games.
If I do not know you already, I look forward to getting to know all of the Toddler families and to teaching and caring for your child.
Meet Miss Alyssa!
Hello! My name is Miss. Alyssa. I joined Children Central in June, 2021. Children Central has made me feel very welcome from the very beginning of this journey. I am so excited to meet all of you and start this new chapter.
I started my teaching career in 2019, having worked at another child care center, and I immediately loved it! My first classroom was with the 12-23 month olds and it was my favorite age group to teach. I always enjoy doing my best to make each day very special and a lot of fun for the children. I plan to continue my education and go to school for Psychology to work with young children. Being with children all day does not feel like a job to me, as I have always loved being around toddlers!
Personally, my family and I are all very close and they are a huge part of my life. I have three brothers who are ages 17, 16 and 3, so I know for sure how to handle a bit of craziness. Watching my 3 year old brother grow and learn every day is my favorite thing ever. I love spending time with my family, as we love to go to the park and for bike rides. I also enjoy going to the beach, and I love baking too! Some things I like to do in my free time are puzzles, shopping and listening to music while painting.
I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. I am so excited to see what our future holds together. I look forward to teaching your toddler in a very fun way, so that the children are well prepared for the next class, which is Toddler Two!
