I am known as Miss Jolie and I have been teaching for 27 years. I started at Children Central in 2009, where I work with the young toddlers (ages 12-23 months). My love and passion for children, especially infants and toddlers, has made me into the well rounded teacher that I am today. Children Central has provided me with an environment where I can nurture and continue to grow professionally and provide the love that is essential for the children who are in my care. Working at Children Central gave me the initiative to pursue my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential, which I obtained in February 2011.
In addition to my professional profile, personally, I am a mother of two wonderful children, Derek who is 23 and Megan who is 19, as well as a wife to my husband Dave, to whom I have been married to for 25 years. I love spending time with my family and friends for they are the daily love and support in my life. Moreover, my family and I love to travel. We enjoy quality family time together. Camping and spending a day at the beach is what we enjoy most. Some favorite pastimes of mine are reading, jigsaw puzzles and shopping.
I have gained many positive and fulfilling experiences here at Children Central for it is a family owned business with excellent standards, as well as an experienced staff. The relationships I have built here will last a life time.
Hello Toddler families! My name is Miss Amanda and I joined the Children Central team in October, 2017. I may have met some of you, since I started out supervising the school age children in the After School program, and then became a full-time teacher in the Preschool and Pre-K classrooms. I am now very excited to have become your child’s teacher in the Toddler Room.
I have earned my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Pre-K to 4 from Bucks County Community College in 2014. I have always known that I love working with children of all ages. When I was younger, I enjoyed babysitting. While earning my degree, I did part of my fieldwork at Goodnoe Elementary School. During my time there, I formed a close connection with the children that made me absolutely certain that teaching children was something I wanted to do in my career.
I have one daughter Emma who is two years old. She is my whole life. I would do anything for her and love spending time together. Children are my life and I cannot wait until I meet yours!!
I am currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in both Early Childhood Education and Special Ed. at Bucks County Community College. I will transfer to Temple University in the fall of 2020 to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, with my primary field of study in special needs education. I eventually plan to obtain a Master’s degree in the educational field, and am also interested to minor in nursing, as I further my studies.
I love teaching young children! I especially enjoy getting to know all of their unique personalities. One of my favorite activities is reading to the children, as I wait to see how they react to the stories they hear. I also enjoy singing to, and with, the children in my class. I have even be told I have a pretty good singing voice!
Starting in middle school and continuing in high school, I assisted the special needs teacher every day after school. This was when I first decided that I wanted to become a teacher of young children.
I come from a big family and have many nieces and nephews, so I continue to utilize my teaching experience both at Children Central and with my family. When not spending quality time with my nieces and nephews, I enjoy going to the movies and attending concerts.
My main goal is that I want to become the best teacher I can be for your children. I look forward to meeting all of the Toddler families.
Hi, my name is Taryn. I became a teacher at Children Central in June, 2015. You may have seen me as a teacher in the Twaddler Room previously. I am so happy to be returning to the Toddler Room, as I love teaching the one year olds! I have 17 years of teaching experience. I started babysitting at the age of 13 and I knew then that children were going to be a huge part of my life. I love working with children of all ages, but my favorite age would have to be the toddler age. I love helping a child learn something new and seeing how proud they get when they are able to accomplish a task!
In high school I had the opportunity to take two years of child development courses. Those classes taught me a lot about children. Each year, the children who were between the ages of two and three came in for six weeks and we took care of them for two hours per day. After I graduated, I knew that I wanted to go to college and major in early childhood education. I attended Brookdale Community College in Lincroft NJ, for a year and a half. I hope to return to school in the future to complete my degree in early childhood education. I am currently studying to receive my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential, which I will be proud to earn.
I have two passions in life: working with children and writing. I have been writing and illustrating children books, as I hope to get them published one day.
I am looking forward to meeting new little friends and their families!
