Hi! My name is Miss Ashley. I am excited to be your child’s Lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Children Central. I graduated Holy Family University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in Pre-K to 4th grade in December, 2013. I had a great experience and learned so much doing student teaching in the Bensalem School District in the second grade.
I started at Children Central in 2012 as a Floater Teacher working in multiple rooms wherever I was needed, which gave me the experience to teach all of the age groups at our school. In 2014, I became a full-time Infant Room teacher. I then moved to the Preschool class to teach the 3-4 year olds to prepare them for Pre-K. I have also held positions as the Kindergarten After-Care teacher and as an Adventure Camp Co-Director three years previously.
I have always had a passion to work with children from when I was very young. Going to school while working at Children Central gave me the ability to understand the students’ needs and adapt to their age level. I am delighted to be a part of your child’s development and be able to watch them experience new things and learn about the environment around them. I believe I can be an important part of their development by guiding their curiosity. Daily lessons will give them insight into the different things around them, as well as prepare them for Kindergarten.
I believe every child will grow and learn best by models and play. Watching children interact with their peers is the most interesting for me, as well as strengthening their emotional, social, cognitive and physical skills. I also feel that each child learns differently and at their own pace, and it is my job to provide each child with the tools they need to learn and grow. I will strive to be a positive role model for your child and help them to develop all of the necessary skills to be well prepared for their next challenge in Kindergarten.
I have three wonderful sons. Currently Crew attends Children Central in the Twaddler Room. My oldest, Aiden, was in Adventure Camp and graduated from Pre-K at Children Central in 2016. Liam also attended Children Central from the Infant room to Preschool. They have all learned so much here and make me so proud! I enjoy shopping and spending time with family and friends. I always look for ways to make sure I am the best I can be in all aspects. I am ready for this year and hope to maintain open relationships with you as parents, or family members, and will always have an open ear for any questions that may arise! This will definitely be a fun year of learning together, as we prepare your child for kindergarten.
Jackie W.
Hello my name is Miss Jackie. I am super excited to be back at Children Central. I am even more excited to be your child’s teacher in the Pre-K classroom! I earned an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Pre-K to 4th at Bucks County Community College (BCCC). I have also been working in the child care field for approximately 7 years. In my last semester at BCCC, I was a student teacher with autistic children at the Tawanka Early Learning Center, and loved every minute of it! I truly enjoy working with children and watching them grow!
When I was in college I took many classes on how to manage a Pre-K class and this experience, combined with my many years of teaching, has generated many ideas which I am looking forward to utilizing. Helping children with their development and achieving the next milestone is what being a teacher is all about, as I help make a difference in a child’s life. I love when a child walks into my class with a big smile on their face, so excited to be at school! My goal is to have the Pre-K class completely ready for kindergarten. I love including many fun learning activities, including reading books to the children, creating art projects, singing songs, and having fun letting each child explore their mind.
Some things I like to do when I am not teaching are spending time with my one and a half year old son, and my family. I also love to watch movies, go to the park, and take pictures.
I am excited for this school year and cannot wait to see what amazing things your child will learn. I look forward to getting to know all of the Pre-K families.
Meet Miss Stephanie!
Hello Children Central families! My name is Miss Stephanie and I joined this team of talented and dedicated staff and teachers in November, 2019 as a teacher in the Toddler Room. I am very happy to have this opportunity to become a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher.
During the summers while in college, I started working in child care centers. After graduating from Ursinus College in 2001, I joined Early Intervention in Philadelphia. I was a Special Instructor for 16 years, as I enjoyed working with children from birth to three year olds. During this time, I developed and implemented goals for children and their families. I was also able to co-lead a parent child group to help children socialize and prepare for preschool. I have been and always will be dedicated to helping children reach their goals.
“It takes a village to raise a child”, has always been a favorite saying of mine. Family has a unique role in shaping our lives, but so do the people we meet along the way, including their teachers. Helping children grow, and develop new skills, has always been an amazing feat to achieve for me as a teacher. Watching first steps, hearing new words and understanding new concepts are everyday blessings, as there is always something new to learn.
A bit about me. My family includes my husband Eric and my two boys Danny (10) and Jason (6). We have two cats Elvis and Jingles. In the past, I have participated on teams such as basketball, softball and darts. I was a campfire girl (like Girl Scouts). I would love to travel more. In college I spent three weeks in France for an art history class and on my honeymoon we took a tour of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
I look forward to getting to know you and all of the children in Pre-kindergarten, as we help prepare the class for kindergarten!
