Hi! My name is Miss Ashley. I am excited to be your child’s Lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Children Central. I graduated Holy Family University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in Pre-K to 4th grade in December, 2013. I had a great experience and learned so much doing student teaching in the Bensalem School District in the second grade.
I started at Children Central in 2012 as a Floater Teacher working in multiple rooms wherever I was needed, which gave me the experience to teach all of the age groups at our school. In 2014, I became a full-time Infant Room teacher. I then moved to the Preschool class to teach the 3-4 year olds to prepare them for Pre-K. I have also held positions as the Kindergarten After-Care teacher and as an Adventure Camp Co-Director three years previously.
I have always had a passion to work with children from when I was very young. Going to school while working at Children Central gave me the ability to understand the students’ needs and adapt to their age level. I am delighted to be a part of your child’s development and be able to watch them experience new things and learn about the environment around them. I believe I can be an important part of their development by guiding their curiosity. Daily lessons will give them insight into the different things around them, as well as prepare them for Kindergarten.
I believe every child will grow and learn best by models and play. Watching children interact with their peers is the most interesting for me, as well as strengthening their emotional, social, cognitive and physical skills. I also feel that each child learns differently and at their own pace, and it is my job to provide each child with the tools they need to learn and grow. I will strive to be a positive role model for your child and help them to develop all of the necessary skills to be well prepared for their next challenge in Kindergarten.
I have three wonderful sons. Currently Crew attends Children Central in the Twaddler Room. My oldest, Aiden, was in Adventure Camp and graduated from Pre-K at Children Central in 2016. Liam also attended Children Central from the Infant room to Preschool. They have all learned so much here and make me so proud! I enjoy shopping and spending time with family and friends. I always look for ways to make sure I am the best I can be in all aspects. I am ready for this year and hope to maintain open relationships with you as parents, or family members, and will always have an open ear for any questions that may arise! This will definitely be a fun year of learning together, as we prepare your child for kindergarten.
Hello my name is Miss Jackie. I am super excited to be back at Children Central. I am even more excited to be your child’s teacher in the Pre-K classroom! I earned an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Pre-K to 4th at Bucks County Community College (BCCC). I have also been working in the child care field for approximately 7 years. In my last semester at BCCC, I was a student teacher with autistic children at the Tawanka Early Learning Center, and loved every minute of it! I truly enjoy working with children and watching them grow!
When I was in college I took many classes on how to manage a Pre-K class and this experience, combined with my many years of teaching, has generated many ideas which I am looking forward to utilizing. Helping children with their development and achieving the next milestone is what being a teacher is all about, as I help make a difference in a child’s life. I love when a child walks into my class with a big smile on their face, so excited to be at school! My goal is to have the Pre-K class completely ready for kindergarten. I love including many fun learning activities, including reading books to the children, creating art projects, singing songs, and having fun letting each child explore their mind.
Some things I like to do when I am not teaching are spending time with my one and a half year old son, and my family. I also love to watch movies, go to the park, and take pictures.
I am excited for this school year and cannot wait to see what amazing things your child will learn. I look forward to getting to know all of the Pre-K families.
Hi! My name is Miss Joan. I joined the Children Central family in February, 2019. I began as a Twaddlers teacher, then taught the Preschool class, and am now very happy to be your child’s teacher in the Pre-kindergarten class. The experience as a Preschool teacher has given me good insight into what we need to teach the Pre-K class, so that the children are well prepared to go to kindergarten.
I attended Bucks County Community College where I earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) in June 2012. I am an award winning teacher of 34 years! I was selected as a Disney Hands Teacher Honoree # 90 out of the entire United States in 2004, which made me feel quite accomplished as a teacher! My staff, students and parents celebrated my award with a special luncheon at Somerton Springs Country Club. I was featured on the Channel 6 and 10 news, and in several newspapers across the Delaware Valley! I was honored again in 2006 as The Educator of The Year for BAEYC and NAEYC! I appeared on the Channel 6 news and was interviewed for many newspapers in the Tri-State area!
I am so happy to be teaching your child in the Pre-K class! It is an environment where I can provide the love that is essential for all the children in my class. It is important to me that every child has a sense of accomplishment and is truly celebrated when they attain their goals! I love interacting with the children, as they learn new and exciting things each and every day! Incorporating the curriculum, I like to utilize "The Sing, Dance, and Play" method of teaching! I have found that the fun of learning encourages children to look forward to coming to school and my classroom!
I am married to my wonderful husband Gary. We have two amazing sons Brian and Chase. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, cooking, visiting museums, and traveling with Gary! My family means the world to me! Teaching is my life's work and my journey to promote learning and individuality! I love being a Teacher!
