Hi. My name is Miss Ashley. I am excited to be your child’s Lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Children Central. I graduated Holy Family University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in Pre-K to 4th grade in December, 2013. I had a great experience and learned so much doing student teaching in the Bensalem School District in the second grade.
I started at Children Central in 2012 as a Floater Teacher working in multiple rooms wherever I was needed, which gave me the experience to teach all of the age groups at our school. In 2014 I was a full-time Infant Room teacher. I then moved to the Preschool class to teach the 3-4 year olds to prepare them for Pre-K. I have also held positions as the Kindergarten After-Care teacher and as an Adventure Camp Co-Director for two years previously, as well as this summer.
I have always had a passion to work with children from when I was very young. Going to school while working at Children Central gave me the ability to understand the students’ needs and adapt to their age level. I am delighted to be a part of your child’s development and be able to watch them experience new things and learn about the environment around them. I believe I can be an important part of their development by guiding their curiosity. Daily lessons will give them insight into the different things around them, as well as prepare them for Pre-K.
I believe every child will grow and learn best by models and play. Watching children interact with their peers is the most interesting for me, as well as strengthening their emotional, social, cognitive and physical skills. I also feel that each child learns differently and at their own pace, and it is my job to provide each child with the tools they need to learn and grow. I will strive to be a positive role model for your child and help them to develop all of the necessary skills to be well prepared for their next challenge in Kindergarten.
I have three wonderful sons. Currently two attend Children Central in the Infant Room and Twaddler Room. My oldest was in Adventure Camp this summer and will continue in the After-School Program in the fall. My son graduated from Pre-K at Children Central in 2016. He learned so much here and made me so proud! I enjoy shopping and spending time with family and friends. I always look for ways to make sure I am the best I can be in all aspects. I am ready for this year and hope to maintain open relationships with you as parents, or family members, and will always have an open ear for any questions that may arise! This will definitely be a fun year of learning together, as we prepare your child for kindergarten.
Hello my name is Miss Jackie. I am super excited to be back at Children Central. I am even more excited to be your child’s teacher in the Pre-K classroom! I earned an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Pre-K to 4th at Bucks County Community College (BCCC). I have also been working in the child care field for approximately 7 years. In my last semester at BCCC, I was a student teacher with autistic children at the Tawanka Early Learning Center, and loved every minute of it! I truly enjoy working with children and watching them grow!
When I was in college I took many classes on how to manage a Pre-K class and this experience, combined with my many years of teaching, has generated many ideas which I am looking forward to utilizing. Helping children with their development and achieving the next milestone is what being a teacher is all about, as I help make a difference in a child’s life. I love when a child walks into my class with a big smile on their face, so excited to be at school! My goal is to have the Pre-K class completely ready for kindergarten. I love including many fun learning activities, including reading books to the children, creating art projects, singing songs, and having fun letting each child explore their mind.
Some things I like to do when I am not teaching are spending time with my one and a half year old son, and my family. I also love to watch movies, go to the park, and take pictures.
I am excited for this school year and cannot wait to see what amazing things your child will learn. I look forward to getting to know all of the Pre-K families.
Hi. My name is Miss Edivia. I have been a part of the Children Central family since August, 2014.
I have been the After-Care teacher, Spanish teacher and a ‘floater.’ You may have seen me driving the school van to pick-up the children who joined my After-Care program for elementary age students, as I helped them with their homework and did fun, learning activities with the class. When I am not teaching Spanish, you may have found me helping out in any of the classrooms from Infant to Pre-K.
I have been in the education field for approximately 20 years, which includes my being a teacher to the physically, mentally and emotionally challenged. I truly have a passion for teaching and caring for children. I earned a Child Development Associates credential (CDA) in 2010 at Manor College. Helping and watching children learn and grow to their fullest potential gives me great satisfaction and pride in my work.
I have two children of my own and a wonderful husband, and have lived in the city of Levittown, PA. for most of my life. I did also live on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico with my parents and siblings for several years and attended school, which gave me the opportunity to learn a second language. I am Bi-lingual in Spanish and English. Knowing two languages is very rewarding; it enables me to have the privilege of communicating with so many more people. A fun fact is that I enjoy cutting hair, as I am a licensed Cosmetologist.
I have been enjoying teaching the children of the Pre-K class, as we are working hard together and looking forward to graduation day!
