Meet Miss Edivia S.
Hi. My name is Miss Edivia. I am so happy to have joined the Children Central family as the After-Care teacher, and as a ‘floater.’ You will see me driving the school van to pick-up the children who will join my After-Care program for elementary age students, as I help them with their homework and do fun, learning activities with the class. You may also find me helping out in any of the classrooms from Infant to Pre-K at other times of the day.
I have been in the education field for 17 years, which includes my being a teacher to the physically, mentally and emotionally challenged. I truly have a passion for teaching and caring for children. I earned a Child Development Associates credential (CDA) in 2010 at Manor College. Helping and watching children learn and grow to their fullest potential gives me great satisfaction and pride in my work.
I have two children of my own and a wonderful husband, and have lived in the city of Levittown, PA. for most of my life. I did also live on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico with my parents and siblings for several years and attended school, which gave me the opportunity to learn a second language. I am Bi-lingual in Spanish and English. Knowing two languages is very rewarding; it enables me to have the privilege of communicating with so many more people.
I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and going to the beach and Sesame Place with my youngest child. I also enjoy cutting hair; I am a licensed Cosmetologist. I am very eager and excited to embark on my new journey at Children Central, and am excited as well for my daughter who will join the After-School program.
Meet Miss Paige
Hello Everyone! My name is Miss Paige. I am so happy to have joined Children Central, which is a great place to be a teacher! I started in January, 2021 as a Preschool teacher. As of April, I requested to become a Floater Teacher since the flexibility will better fit my schedule, as I am also attending school.
As a Floater Teacher, I assist in all of the classrooms throughout the day. I am extremely excited to help your children grow by providing care, aiding in lessons, reading books, and adding to their fun and education in every way I can.
I am currently earning my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education for Pre-K to 4 at Bucks County Community College. I look forward to teaching kindness, patience, and fulfilling the sense of wonder in your child. It is extremely important to make learning fun for our children, as I plan to teach the academic and social skills necessary to assist each child in their positive development. I will also gladly work with the children on how to behave in a learning environment. I like to incorporate Art and Movement, which are important and fun for the children.
A little bit about me. I have a beautiful baby girl named Eliana. I am originally from Maryland and moved to Pennsylvania when I was 22 years old. I love the beach and going shopping with friends and family. I plan to transfer to a university program, after I have completed my Associate’s degree. I hope to eventually become an elementary school teacher in the Bucks County area. Some of my favorite things include coffee and Italian food!
The relationship with each child and their family is very important to me, as I help the children succeed in our educational program!
Meet Miss Regina
Hello! My name is Miss Regina, and I am a rising junior Biological Sciences major at the University of Pittsburgh. I am currently residing in my hometown here in Langhorne for the summer and will be returning to campus by the end of August. I am so excited to be part of the teaching staff at Children Central as a Floater Teacher for the summer!
I believe that having fun while learning is important for young minds because it keeps engagement and motivation high. Therefore, Children Central is the perfect place because it is evident that both academics and playfulness are valued! Something that I hope to do during my time at Children Central is lead by example; I plan on being a role model and showing what good behaviors look like through my own actions.
I have had a passion for early childhood education and tutoring ever since my experience working at Kumon Learning Center in 2018. I found it to be such a rewarding process to watch my students develop, learn, and grow both academically and socially. Following this experience, I have been a volunteer as a teaching assistant for the Vacation Bible School at my church every summer since 2018. I also currently volunteer as a tutor for a club on my campus called “Keep it Real.” The tutoring is focused primarily on North View Heights Elementary School students who are part of a local Somali refugee community. All in all, whenever I see an opportunity to work with children and help them blossom as individuals, I go for it!
I have lived in Langhorne since I was two years old, and I am a 2019 graduate from Neshaminy High School. Some things I enjoy doing in my free time are baking, spending time with friends and family, singing, and listening to music. One fun fact about me is that I have been to India a total of five times in my life, and on one of those trips, I rode on the back of an elephant!
