Meet Miss Alexis!
Hi! My name is Miss Alexis and I am very excited to have joined Children Central as a Pre-K teacher as of April, 2021. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to teach Pre-Kindergarten. Growing up, my favorite thing to do was “teach” my dolls. I love being in the classroom surrounded by children who are eager to learn, and very curious about the world around them.
I have been working with children for the past six years. I attended Bloomsburg University and studied Early Childhood Education and plan to soon earn my degree. Most recently, I worked in the Bucks County Intermediate Unit where I worked in two preschool inclusion classrooms assisting children with their IEP. I have also been an Assistant Teacher in the Pre-K classroom in two early learning programs and loved every second of it!
I am excited to start at Children Central and teach the students, as well as help them learn new skills, as I observe and aid in their development. My passion is to help students learn classroom skills as well as social skills that will stick with them throughout their childhood. I love to use art, music and movement throughout my teaching and make learning very fun for the children.
In my free time I love to spend my time outside hiking and exploring. When it is warm enough, you can find me floating and relaxing in my pool.
I am excited to get to know each student and help them get ready for kindergarten. I look forward to meeting everyone!
Meet Miss Krystal!
Hi! My name is Miss Krystal and I am so excited to be joining the Children Central team as of July 2021! I have been teaching Preschool and Pre-kindergarten for over six years, and I absolutely love it! Pre-K is my favorite age group because they are so curious and love learning.
I am currently taking classes to earn my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential. I eventually plan to return to school to complete my Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
As long as I can remember, teaching has been my passion. I started by playing school with my little sister and stuffed animals, to student teaching in high school, to now having been a teacher in a child care center for the past six years. I love playing such an important part in shaping young minds.
I hope to bring some new and exciting activities into the classroom to help prepare your children for kindergarten and have lots of fun while doing it.
When I am not teaching, you may find me spending time with my boyfriend and friends, or shopping on Amazon to decorate my new house. I love Philly sports (especially the Eagles and Phillies), cats (I have 1 cat named Theo), and Dunkin’ iced coffee. I am always busy, as I work at a restaurant on the weekends too.
I cannot wait to help your child learn and develop throughout this upcoming school year!
