Meet Miss Carol!
Hello! My name is Miss Carol. I am happy to have first joined Children Central in August, 2019 as a Preschool teacher. I am equally happy to have become a teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten class for the 2020-2021 school year.
I have 18 years’ experience working in a child care / preschool setting. For my first 12 years, I was a teacher in a Toddler classroom, and for the past 6 years I taught Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten. I look forward to assisting with the learning experiences of our 4 and 5 year olds to prepare them well for Kindergarten. I earned my CDA (Child Development Associate) credential in 2011 from Bucks County Community College.
I am devoted to teaching kindness to young children. Kindness towards each other leads to respect for one another, and the acceptance of everyone’s differences. I believe that when young children understand how to be kind, they are able to show compassion and empathy towards others. I love music, art and literature, especially children’s literature. I enjoy sharing this love with young children.
My husband and I are currently empty nesters. We enjoyed attending our son’s wedding on August 15, 2020. We always enjoy visiting our daughter who lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
I will enjoy getting to know each child and their family. I look forward to teaching the children in the Pre-k class and preparing them very well for kindergarten!
Meet Miss Stephanie!
Hello Children Central families! My name is Miss Stephanie and I am the Assistant Director at Children Central, and also a teacher in the Pre-K classroom. I have worked in the child care field for over 10 years! I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Art Education from Temple University.
My previous experience has included Director for five years at a local preschool, and I have also been a teacher. I have enjoyed both teaching in the classroom and also managing as Director. I am excited to be the Assistant Director at Children Central because I am passionate about making sure children go to school in a safe, fun, and caring environment.
I have taught Art at a local preschool and have created numerous lesson plans for the younger ages. I enjoy helping students create art and giving them a chance to express themselves and explore materials while having fun.
I currently reside in Trevose with my husband and son. My little boy also happily attends Children Central in the Toddler classroom. I am very excited to have him with me because Children Central is such a great school!
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and plan fun activities for my baby! His happiness is the most important thing to me! My family and I like to go for walks at the local parks and explore nature. We also enjoy playing with our puppy in our backyard.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know your children!
Meet Miss Alexis!
Hi! My name is Miss Alexis and I am very excited to have joined Children Central as a Pre-K teacher as of April, 2021. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to teach Pre-Kindergarten. Growing up, my favorite thing to do was “teach” my dolls. I love being in the classroom surrounded by children who are eager to learn, and very curious about the world around them.
I have been working with children for the past six years. I attended Bloomsburg University and studied Early Childhood Education and plan to soon earn my degree. Most recently, I worked in the Bucks County Intermediate Unit where I worked in two preschool inclusion classrooms assisting children with their IEP. I have also been an Assistant Teacher in the Pre-K classroom in two early learning programs and loved every second of it!
I am excited to start at Children Central and teach the students, as well as help them learn new skills, as I observe and aid in their development. My passion is to help students learn classroom skills as well as social skills that will stick with them throughout their childhood. I love to use art, music and movement throughout my teaching and make learning very fun for the children.
In my free time I love to spend my time outside hiking and exploring. When it is warm enough, you can find me floating and relaxing in my pool.
I am excited to get to know each student and help them get ready for kindergarten. I look forward to meeting everyone!
