Meet Miss Sarah!

Hello! My name is Miss Sarah.  I joined Children Central in September 2022 as an Assistant Teacher in the Pre-kindergarten classroom.  I am very happy to have become the Lead Teacher of the Preschool class, as I love teaching our 3 year olds!  Having previously been a teacher in the Pre-K classroom, I understand well how to prepare the children for what they will need to know when they graduate to this next class and eventually for kindergarten.

I attended Susquehanna University for Music Education, and though I have a passion for music, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher since I was young! For several summers, I worked as an assistant music teacher at St. Luke’s Episcopal church for their summer music camp.  I fell in love with working with all of the young students and teaching them different skills. I incorporate music into our daily learning activities, as I believe music can be such a wonderful addition to any classroom and teaches skills that apply to almost every subject. I love being able to watch students learn and grow from the knowledge that you give them, and it gives me joy when they succeed and have fun doing it!

When I am not teaching, I love to read, bake cookies, and do almost any type of craft such as painting or sewing! I have a deep love for animals as well, and I have an adorable Tuxedo cat named Azula, and three exotic tree frogs!

I look forward to the school year full of amazing children in our Preschool class. I enjoy teaching my students to be confident, kind, and to add a touch of musical fun in the classroom whenever possible!

Meet Mr Michael!

My name is Mr. Michael. I joined the family of teachers at Children Central in September 2023.  I am so excited to be your child’s teacher in the Preschool classroom!

I have been teaching in the early childhood field for over ten years and plan to bring my knowledge and skills into the classroom working alongside the wonderful teachers here at Children Central. Preschool is one of the most important parts of a child’s growth, and providing a safe, welcoming, and loving environment is something that I strive to give.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing guitar and singing, painting, and writing. These hobbies are also things that I implement into the classroom activities, as art and dramatic play are just as important as the many other things your little ones learn at school.

I look forward to meeting everyone!

Meet Miss Nichole!

Hello, my name is Miss Nichole and I joined Children Central in December 2023! I am so excited to be a teacher for the Preschool class. I am looking forward to building relationships with the children and their families.

Preschool is one of my favorite age groups to work with because the children learn so much in such a little bit of time. I love being able to watch the children grow and be excited about learning daily. I plan to bring new and exciting things to our classroom for our Preschoolers to learn!

Before joining Children Central, I worked in a school for three years with infants and toddlers and I learned so much from them!  In the near future I am looking forward to working toward my CDA (Child Development Associates) credential and using the information in my teachings here.

I am married with three daughters who keep me very busy.  When I am not teaching, you will find me with my family and friends. I love to read, be outside in the sunshine, go hiking, and camping.

I look forward to an amazing school year at Children Central with many adventures and having every child learn as much as possible, while having lots of fun!
