Hello everyone! My name is Miss Sarah, and I am thrilled to share that I have been promoted to Assistant Director here at Children Central! I am excited to step into this leadership role.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in music education in 2022 from Susquehanna University, and joined the Children Central family soon after! I started as an assistant Pre-K teacher, and then became the Lead Teacher of the Preschool classroom. This experience helped me further fall in love with Early Childhood Education, as I then obtained the CDA (Child Development Associates) credential.
Something I absolutely love about the education field is watching the creativity and imagination that children have, and their pure sense of wonder when learning new things! I believe that children learn so much through imaginative play, and that music and art are extremely important in a child’s education. Having studied music education, I’ve seen firsthand how music accelerates childhood development – sharpening cognitive function, refining motor skills, and boosting language and social skills.
In my free time, I love crafting, baking, watching movies and spending time with my husband and our three cats – Albus, Remus, and Azula. I always love a good fantasy series, such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars, but I also love entertaining reality shows as well!
A big reason why I love Children Central so much is the warm family environment, and the caring staff. Family is extremely important to me, and I am very lucky to be a part of the Children Central family. While many of you may already know me, I look forward to meeting new faces, and building positive relationships with all of the parents/guardians, staff and the children of course! I am beyond excited about this new opportunity, and look forward to working closely with all of you to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for every child!
Please feel free to stop by to say hello!
