Hello, my name is Miss Katie! I am so excited to join the team at Children Central as Assistant Director. I have enjoyed working with children for the past 10 years, which has included my roles as a Behavioral Therapist, a service coordinator in Early Intervention, and toddler lead teacher in a preschool! I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation and Human Services from The Pennsylvania State University.
I enjoy working with and educating both children and their families and being a part of the start of their learning journey! Watching children make their first connections to the world, to their peers, and developing many different skills and communication goals, has kept this career exciting and very meaningful to me. I love building relationships with the children and their families to ensure the success of every child! I am a very easy-going and understanding person. My door will always be open! I welcome and encourage any and all conversations regarding your child/children to ensure comfort and ease when attending our center! Please always feel free to reach out!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, my step daughter, and our two dogs, Onyx & Asher! My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over a year now and transitioning into being a stepmother of a 4 year old girl has been an amazing and life changing experience for me in the best way! I love to be outdoors when the weather is nice, going to restaurants to try new foods, reading, arts & crafts, and true crime shows! My family means the world to me, and I would not be where I am today without their love and support. I hope to provide you and your child with the same care and understanding!
