My name is Miss Donna. I joined the Children Central team in October 2020, as a Floater Teacher. I helped out throughout the school, but the majority of the time I was assisting in the Toddler Room. I am very happy to have been promoted to a full time Toddler Teacher! Every day I find ways to encourage and praise the children when I “catch” them sharing and caring for their toddler friends. It is my passion to bring a positive and creative influence to your little one’s life. I look forward to inspiring your child’s innate ability to be creative with fun and educational arts and craft activities, as I help prepare your child for the Toddler Two classroom.
As a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, I majored in Illustration and Graphic design. I worked a few years in the industry in New York before my husband and I decided to move to beautiful Bucks County, Pa. where we began our family. My experience working with children started when our two children attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic School. After assisting with lunchroom duties, I realized that I really enjoyed being a part of not just my own kid’s lives, but all the children that attended the school. I was soon hired to work as an assistant to the art teacher. I was happy to share my knowledge and artistic ability. It was a great way for me to combine my interest in art with my newfound interest in teaching children.
I also taught at Newtown Presbyterian Preschool in the lunch bunch arts and crafts program for children two to five years old. I organized activities and art projects throughout the school year. It was here through exploration of creativity that I could really see how an early introduction to art gave a wonderful sense of achievement to each child. I love to see the look of surprise and enjoyment on a child’s face when they are discovering their creative ability. I look forward to fostering that sense of achievement in your child.
My husband and I raised our son and daughter in Yardley. Our oldest child has moved on and we look forward for our youngest to graduate from college. My love for my family remains the most important thing in my life, along with my interest in art. I am a member of Artists of Yardley where I display my paintings in their many exhibitions.
It is my pleasure getting to know each of your children. I look forward to inspiring their natural inclination to be creative, and to enjoy their educational experience here at Children Central!
