Hi. My name is Miss Edivia. I am so happy to have joined the Children Central family as the After-Care teacher, and as a ‘floater.’ You will see me driving the school van to pick-up the children who will join my After-Care program for elementary age students, as I help them with their homework and do fun, learning activities with the class. You may also find me helping out in any of the classrooms from Infant to Pre-K at other times of the day.
I have been in the education field for 17 years, which includes my being a teacher to the physically, mentally and emotionally challenged. I truly have a passion for teaching and caring for children. I earned a Child Development Associates credential (CDA) in 2010 at Manor College. Helping and watching children learn and grow to their fullest potential gives me great satisfaction and pride in my work.
I have two children of my own and a wonderful husband, and have lived in the city of Levittown, PA. for most of my life. I did also live on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico with my parents and siblings for several years and attended school, which gave me the opportunity to learn a second language. I am Bi-lingual in Spanish and English. Knowing two languages is very rewarding; it enables me to have the privilege of communicating with so many more people.
I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and going to the beach and Sesame Place with my youngest child. I also enjoy cutting hair; I am a licensed Cosmetologist. I am very eager and excited to embark on my new journey at Children Central, and am excited as well for my daughter who will join the After-School program.
