Hello, I am Miss Samantha. I am excited to be a part of the Children Central team and to get to know the families.
I joined Children Central in May, 2019 as a Twaddler Room teacher. I have worked in child care for 11 years before coming to Children Central.
I previously attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia and am currently working towards earning my Child Development Associates credential (CDA). While in school, I was a part-time nanny and right after college it became full-time. I became an Assistant Pre-K teacher at St. Christopher’s School before transitioning into a child care center teacher. I have cared for children ranging in age from newborn to 14 years old.
Teaching toddlers has by far been the most rewarding thing I have done in my career. Watching the children learn and figure things out is truly a special experience. I am honored to be a part of your child’s development as their teacher. I believe communication is the key in determining how a child learns and in figuring out what works best for each child. I invite questions from our families to help better your child’s experience and get them well prepared for the Preschool class.
I live in Somerton with my younger two siblings and my dog, who is very much the spoiled baby of the house. We spend most of our time at the movies or playing video/board games.
I am looking forward to meeting all of the Twaddler families!
Hello! My name is Miss April and I am very excited to have joined the Children Central family as a teacher in the Twaddler classroom. I cannot wait to meet the families and become an integral part of your child’s learning and development.
Working with children is my passion and is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I previously worked in a child care center as the infant room lead teacher, and I have babysat for many families throughout the years. I have learned so much from my previous experiences. I have always wanted to work with the two to three year olds in the Twaddler age group. This is such a fun age and the teaching possibilities are endless! I am very excited to take on the challenge of teaching the children through both curriculum and a structured play program. I strive to create a loving and safe space for each and every child in my care.
I grew up part time in Philadelphia and part time in Fairless Hills. I now have a child of my own and he inspires me to better myself every single day. I attended Mercy Vocational High School, the only catholic vocational high school in the country, where I took Culinary and Pastry Arts. Cooking is another passion of mine, as I love to host dinner parties and BBQs on the weekends with my fiancé. We are huge foodies and love trying new and quirky restaurants in the city. Food and family mean the most to me!
I look forward to getting to know all of the children and families, as I’m so excited to start this journey at Children Central!
