When I was a university student, I did volunteer work in Cambodia and Thailand. I taught children Korean and Art. After my return, I continued teaching children as a volunteer. I became a teacher and for seven and a half years, I taught children who ranged in age from 3-13. I especially enjoyed teaching the little ones. They learn and grow so quickly and I am happy to see them every day and be a part of their lives.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition in 2006 at Sungshin Women’s University in Seoul, Korea. I have always been interested in learning about children. In college I took courses such as: Parent Training Program, Development and Education of Young Children, Introduction to Business related to Young Children and Nutrition for Growth and Development.
I live in Levittown, PA. I am originally from South Korea. I met my husband in Korea when he was doing his military service. We moved to his hometown and I am glad to be here with him. We try to go and tour around Pennsylvania whenever we have the opportunity. I like to listen to music, sing, be outdoors, cook, walk my dog, and spend time with family!
Hi! My name is Miss Ashley and I am very excited to be a teacher in the Twaddler classroom at Children Central as of October, 2018. I am currently a student at Bucks County Community College majoring in Psychology. I plan to transfer to a four year university after I graduate, so that I can pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education.
I describe myself as a student who works extremely hard and has a strong motivation to achieve my academic goals. I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. I was invited to join the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society in the fall of 2014. I am also a mentor for incoming freshman students. I provide advice on how to be a successful college student and answer any questions they may have along the way. I have a passion for helping kids in need and teaching children life-long lessons that they will use now and for the future.
I previously was a Pre-K Assistant Teacher. I would supervise the children and assist during lessons. I made sure that the children were on track to learn their lessons and provided help whenever needed.
I also worked at a child care center where I taught drama to one to four year olds. I would assist my students in exploring their creativity and building interpersonal skills through classroom activities and theater production. I would create plays or small skits for each class, as I enjoyed seeing how the children pretended to be some of their favorite characters. I was so proud when some of the shyest kids became more comfortable speaking in front of their classmates by reciting poems and acting them out.
Ever since I was a little child, I have always wanted to become a teacher. I love children and have a passion for helping kids thrive. I find teaching very rewarding. I love how children get so excited when they learn new things and accomplish daily tasks.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of the Twaddler families. I cannot wait to start teaching your children and preparing them for the Preschool class!
Hello, I am Miss Bonnie. I am very excited to have become a part of the Children Central family and look forward to meeting your family!
I joined Children Central in November, 2018 as a Twaddler Room teacher. I attended the University of Tampa, where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English, with minors in both writing and history. I also have a technical writing degree and write stories for children and teens that I hope to one day publish as novels.
I cannot wait to teach your children and help prepare them for the Preschool class. Twaddlers are such a great age and full of love, energy, and excitement! I am looking forward to making learning fun for your child. In addition to my love for reading and doing crafts with the class, I also plan to teach fundamental life skills and engage each child socially, as we have our fun ‘learning conversations’ throughout the day!
For several years, I worked locally at Barnes and Noble and was a Children's Bookseller. I have hosted many story times, crafts, and activities for my young friends and recommended wonderful children's books. I am always happy to chat about books and make a recommendation for your Twaddler child and older siblings!
I was born right here in Langhorne, PA. and am an alumnus of Neshaminy High School. After college, I taught English as a Second Language at two elementary schools and one junior high school in Nagasaki, Japan for two years. It was an incredible experience. I frequently miss my students, the people I met, and the culture of the country and would love to return for a visit in the future.
In my free time, I love to read, travel, play with my 4-year-old niece, and listen to Broadway music or catch a live show.
I have always enjoyed working with children. I am so excited to take part in your child's life and teach the skills they will need to excel in preschool and beyond. Feel free to come to me anytime with questions!
Hi! My name is Miss Joan and I am very excited to be a Twaddler Teacher at Children Central, as of February 2019!
I attended Bucks County Community College where I earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) in June 2012. I am an award winning teacher of 33 years! I was selected as a Disney Hands Teacher Honoree # 90 out of the entire United States in 2004, which made me feel quite accomplished as a teacher! My staff, students and parents celebrated my award with a special luncheon at Somerton Springs Country Club. I was featured on the Channel 6 and 10 news, and in several newspapers across the Delaware Valley! I was honored again in 2006 as The Educator of The Year for BAEYC and NAEYC! I appeared on the Channel 6 news and was interviewed for many newspapers in the Tri-State area!
I am so happy to be teaching your Twaddler! It is an environment where I can provide the love that is essential for all the children in my class. It is important to me that every child has a sense of accomplishment and is truly celebrated when they attain their goals! I love interacting with the children, as they learn new and exciting things each and every day! Incorporating the curriculum, I like to utilize "The Sing, Dance, and Play" method of teaching! I have found that the fun of learning encourages children to look forward to coming to school and my classroom!
I am married to my wonderful husband Gary. We have two amazing sons Brian and Chase. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, cooking, visiting museums, and traveling with Gary! My family means the world to me! Teaching is my life's work and my journey to promote learning and individuality! I love being a Teacher!
