I have been working at Children Central since the summer of 2010 as a substitute teacher and I am very happy that I have become a part-time Children Central family member. I love working with the children and getting to know their families too. The staff at Children Central is wonderful and always makes me feel like I belong. My two grandchildren previously attended Children Central and received a great education.
I was born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Levittown, Pa and graduated from Neshaminy High. I have many good memories of going to the Jersey Shore, which is one of my passions. I married my Jersey shore sweetheart Gary, whom I met in Wildwood, NJ and we raised three wonderful children.
We lived in Levittown for a bit and out in Colorado for three years. Then we settled in Langhorne Borough in a 120 year old twin Victorian twin, where we raised our children for 20 years. We have a lot of good memories raising our children that will last a lifetime. We continued taking our children to the Jersey Shore as my parents did for us growing up. But as our children grew up and started moving out, we decided to downsize and moved to a lovely little cape cod in Newportville, Pa., right outside of Hulmeville Borough. We’ve lived there the past three years.
We also have a place at the shore in Seaville, NJ near Sea Isle City where we spend lots of family time every summer. Love the Beach and the boardwalk and going boating, fishing, and crabbing, campfires at night and long walks on the beach. I love spending lots of time with my family and good friends. My family is very important to me and they are who I am today.
Aside from the shore, I enjoy going to flea markets and shopping for antiques, which is a hobby of mine.
My name is Miss Donna. I am very happy to be a part of the Children Central team, as I will be a Floater Teacher, assisting wherever I may be needed. It is my passion to bring a positive and creative influence to your little one’s life. I look forward to inspiring your child’s innate ability to be creative with fun and educational arts and craft activities.
As a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, I majored in Illustration and Graphic design. I worked a few years in the industry in New York before my husband and I decided to move to beautiful Bucks County, Pa. where we began our family. My experience working with children started when our two children attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic School. After assisting with lunchroom duties, I realized that I really enjoyed being a part of not just my own kid’s lives, but all the children that attended the school. I was soon hired to work as an assistant to the art teacher. I was happy to share my knowledge and artistic ability. It was a great way for me to combine my interest in art with my new found interest in teaching children.
Later on I worked at Newtown Presbyterian Preschool in the lunch bunch arts and crafts program for children two to five years old. I organized activities and art projects throughout the school year. It was here through exploration of creativity that I could really see how an early introduction to art gave a wonderful sense of achievement to each child. I love to see the look of surprise and enjoyment on a child’s face when they are discovering their creative ability. I look forward to fostering that sense of achievement in your child.
My husband and I raised our son and daughter in Yardley. Our oldest child has moved on and we look forward for our youngest to graduate from college. My love for my family remains the most important thing in my life, along with my interest in art. I am a member of Artists of Yardley where I display my paintings in their many exhibitions.
It will be my pleasure to get to know each of your children and inspire their natural inclination to be creative and enjoy their time here at Children Central!
Hi. My name is Miss Edivia. I am so happy to have joined the Children Central family as the After-Care teacher, and as a ‘floater.’ You will see me driving the school van to pick-up the children who will join my After-Care program for elementary age students, as I help them with their homework and do fun, learning activities with the class. You may also find me helping out in any of the classrooms from Infant to Pre-K at other times of the day.
I have been in the education field for 17 years, which includes my being a teacher to the physically, mentally and emotionally challenged. I truly have a passion for teaching and caring for children. I earned a Child Development Associates credential (CDA) in 2010 at Manor College. Helping and watching children learn and grow to their fullest potential gives me great satisfaction and pride in my work.
I have two children of my own and a wonderful husband, and have lived in the city of Levittown, PA. for most of my life. I did also live on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico with my parents and siblings for several years and attended school, which gave me the opportunity to learn a second language. I am Bi-lingual in Spanish and English. Knowing two languages is very rewarding; it enables me to have the privilege of communicating with so many more people.
I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and going to the beach and Sesame Place with my youngest child. I also enjoy cutting hair; I am a licensed Cosmetologist. I am very eager and excited to embark on my new journey at Children Central, and am excited as well for my daughter who will join the After-School program
